Dhyana Yoga

Basically, Dhyana Yoga is attained when you are finally in a deep meditative state of consciousness to your Karma or action.

And for the past years, it is believed that is only in meditation through Dyana Yoga that you will learn to look at yourself totally and be able to appreciate life (which is the ultimate goal of most Yoga forms and practices).

Dyana Yoga and Meditation

Normally, Yoga practices are done by most men and women for physical benefits. However, Dyana Yoga is quite different as it is more on true self and life realization.

Hence, Dyana Yoga (Meditation) is actually for soul awakening. It is a form of practice that is far more than just a physical exercise. Nevertheless, it is more spiritual.

But what is actually meditation when in terms of Dyana Yoga? What is its purpose? Basically, Dyana Yoga would require true meditation in order to achieve its full benefits.

However, achieving true meditation is not done easily. It would require you a lot of hard work, determination and dedication. It is not something you can have in just sitting quietly (like most of us usually do in our high school days).

But rather, it is something you can achieve by fully submitting yourself without hesitations at all.

Meditation, by benefiting your spirit, can directly improve your mental and even your physical health as much as the hatha yoga exercises do. More likely it will allow you to do many things.

It allows you at once to remove from yourself all thoughts and outside perceptions of time and space and other physical restraints to expose your core self. Hence, everything will be stripped away, even your normal thinking.

And at the same time that you are focusing inward to your core self, or spirit, you will also be able to open yourself to the divine. You will be more likely open to God and to all of the power and divinity of the universe.

Dyana Yoga and Its Processes

Generally, there are 2 process involved in Dyana Yoga.

  • The process of observation
  • The process of seeing your mind, heart and body as completely still and serene.

Basically, when you observe, you observe the Karma (action) that is continuously taking place inside, Karma is the movement which is created, experienced and performed by and through the mind, the senses, the ego, and the attributes of life as well.

And consequently, when you become totally aware of the Karma, you will also then become aware of what you need, what you actually don’t, what you like and dislike. And how all your life is ruled by what you desire and what you actually do not.
